So in the week after Christmas 2000, I find among the clearance books at the big chain bookstore "SLackware Linux for Dummies" and the two CDs are still in there, just a mildly ripped cover. It came to about $15.00, so I grabbed it. So from my experience Debian was too complicated, Slackware is for dummies and easy to get going. Michael
