Not forgetting the fact that Greece was spending more and more on arms.
It spent 58% of its military expenditure on weaponry from Germany, being
Germany's largest arms customer. Greece also spent a fortune on arms
from France and the US.
And strangely, while insisting on 'austerity' in every other area of
Greek public spending, Germany and France were silent about military
spending.
