I have a Tuxedo laptop with AMD since a year. I've been quite happy with
it, but 90% of my use is screen down and connecting over SSH.

I didn't have time to try debian on it before setting it up for work.
Ubuntu LTS went on fine and has worked smoothly for me.

I did not go minimalistic, AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics with
32GB of RAM and 1 TB NVMe drive.
