Nun, ich weiß nicht, wieviel das USB-Interface hinzutut, aber deine SSD verbrät unter Last halt mehr Leistung als eine 3.5" WD Blue mit 8TB und 5400 upm. Nur hat so eine Drehplatte etwas mehr Oberfläche. Kann gut sein, daß die Icybox unter Last bis zu 10 Watt abführen muß, mindestens aber sechs. USB 3.1 kann das ja liefern. Mein PCIe 4.0-NVMe-Dingens im neuen Rechner wird auch prächtig heiß, so um die 50° und auch etwas drüber. Ja, ab 50° aufwärts tut es weh, wenn man gut wärmeletende Oberflächen wie z.B. Aluminiumgehäuse oder Kühlkörper lange genug anfasst. Rainer -- nein, ich bin nicht verhünert, die schreiben das leider wirklich so (Stefan Goetzke in ger.ct zum CamelCase im Begriff "GMX MediaCenter")
