Da es kein ASCII ist, ist es auf englischen Tastaturen
nicht vorhanden.
(Nicht nur?) deutsche Tastaturen verwenden
"Alt rechts" als "Alt Gr(r)" um den Zeichensatz
zu erweitern.
Wo die Umsetzung und wie stattfindet,
ist nach meiner Vermutung eine Angelegenheit
des Tastaturtreibers auf dem PC.. .
Tastaturen liefern direkt kein utf.

Im internet findet man viele Hinweise,
wie es (mit welcher Anwendung) gehen sollte.
Nach meinen experimentellen Erfahrung hat bisher
keine funktioniert.
Mit copy und paste geht utf(8)
Es ist nicht nur die Tastatur die mit utf Schwierigkeiten macht.
kmail hat *.txt Dateien als Anhang verweigert,
weil sie nicht ASCII Buchstaben wie ä enthielten.
Auf raspberry pi mit Voreinstellung geht cgi
auch nicht, wenn nicht ASCII Zeichen übertragen werden sollen.
Hermann
zeitweise an seiner touchscreen Tatstatur bastelnd und vermutend,
das er dazu auch noch den Editor basteln muss.
Zumal emacs nach seinen Eindruck kaputt entwickelt wird.
( fügt automatisch blanks an Zeilenbeginn in html Dateien ein,
macht automatisch Zeilenumbrüche .. )
