You're writing in a newsgroup that discusses the language defined by
the C standard. If you're going to use terms that are defined by the
C standard, please either use them the way the C standard defines
them, use a different term, or *at least* explain what you mean.
Failing that, can you at least acknowledge that the standard has
its own definitions for terms like "derived type" and "character"?
You know that every time you recycle a defined term for your own
purposes, it leads to a reply like this one. You know how to
avoid that.
