Ich poste das nicht in der Editor Gruppe, weil es sich um ein Linux
(genauer Debian?) Problem handelt.

Auf Debian Stable habe ich neulich auch Emacs installiert. Vielleicht
will ich dort irgendwann auch Gnus nutzen. Ein SMTP-Server war
m.W. vorher nicht installiert (ich tendiere eh mehr Richtung
Posfix). Aber bei der Anwahl (in aptitude) wollte er auch Exile
installieren. Als ich es abwählte, meine aptitude, EXIM sei für die
Installation von Emacs Voraussetzung. WTH? Ich habe ja noch nicht einmal
Gnus installiert, bei dem ich die Voraussetzung eines SMTP-Server gerade
noch verstehen würde.

Warum will ein Editor eine Mailserver haben?
