What happens if you want to allocate an object that contains bignums,
strings, and other stuff, and free it later?  Would you use something
like OOP with destructors that you'd have to set up to decrement the
refcounted variables?

Is anyone using your gc?  Tracing seems preferable to refcounts in most
ways I can think of.
