Ed wird auch noch in Linux mitgeschleppt. Hat Windows heute auch noch

Emacs war mal richtig teuer. Ich habe in den vergangenen Jahren einige
Ausgaben der BYTE gelesen, wenn sie denn alt genug waren, mich zu
interessieren. Ich wollte unbedingt die Ausgabe von 1977 oder 1978 lesen,
in der ein Redakteur den Begriff "1977 Trinity" einbrachte. Dieser
bezieht sich auf die ersten drei Homecomputer von 1977, die auch eine
Tastatur ab Werk hatten: Apple ][, Commodore PET und Radioshack TRS-80.

Und IIRC wurde dort auch UNIX und Zubehör angeboten. Dazu wurde Emacs
genannt, der IIRC über 1000 USD, rund 4000 DM (oder 2000 EURO)
kostete. Mit Inflation, könnte man sich heute einen Kleinwagen davon
kaufen.
