I spent all yesterday afternoon ploughing through the source code - it's a big program that looks like it has grown a bit like Topsy. The coding for public holidays is hard wired and buried deep within the code. It is not a quick fix, because of all the knock-on effects. I will have a think of how best to try and resolve these problems - some of which may be one offs (when will we next have the Olympics?). If anyone has any other comments about Calibre, let me know. I don't promise to do anything, but you never know, there may be some things I can fix. I am not sure the current situation, but in the past, English and Scottish PHs didn't always coincide (indeed, Edinburgh and Glasgow had different holidays in spring and autumn). If the present encumbent in Holyrood (Parliament, not Palace) has his way who knows what will happen.
