Your car is one thing; your supercilious analogy is invalid.
Furthermore, you are limiting yourself to only one definition when in
reality there are more than one; for instance the New Oxford American
Dictionary defines ecosystem thusly:

ecosystem |?ek??sist?m, ??k?-|
nounEcology
a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical
environment.
€ (in general use) a complex network or interconnected system: Silicon
Valley's entrepreneurial ecosystem | the entire ecosystem of movie and
video production will eventually go digital.

"iTunes ecosystem" certainly falls in that second definition.

How about taking your supercilious (I like that word) sarcastic
pedantry and shove it where the sun don't (er, doesn't) shine?
