yet scratches still occur to phones with gorilla glass.

it's not impossible.

false. the shitty ones might do that, but the better ones definitely do
not.

that is not a problem, other than for phones such as the galaxy edge
where the screen rolls around the side, and not surprisingly, there are
compatible screen protectors.

which is why getting that type of screen protector is *not* a good idea
unless purchased at a place that uses an applicator machine which
guarantees a proper fit.

nope. 

there are videos on youtube (and i've seen it done live) where someone
hits a phone with a screen protector using a hammer or other blunt
object and nothing shatters.
