No, you seem to be positively challenged with understanding a simple concept 
such as prediction by calculation, which, sorry to break this to you, is the 
bread and butter of physics.  (Probably someone has told you this before: If 
you have a solid body, and you know where it has been and the mathematics of 
how it moves – i.e. its position as a function of time –, then you can 
predict where it is going to be at a certain time simply by calculating the 
function value for that time value.)

The EFEs do not only predict very closely where Mercury has been, but also 
*where it is now* and *where it will be*.  IOW, GR provides a good model to 
calculate *precisely* the orbit of that planet and of other planets (Mercury 
is not the only planet in the Sol system and elsewhere whose perihelion 
moves) – at which Newtonian gravity theory, for centuries before the 
postulation of the EFEs and now for more than a century after that, had 
failed, fails and will continue to fail.
