he link you gave sounds like what happened with me. I was going through my
old links to clean them up with ones that didn't work and deleting them
but I did get a alert.
Then the pop-ups started,..
I was worried about clicking any of those for the very reasons you gave.
Thats why I ran Avast first to see if I could delete it from there. It
found nothing so I took a chance and clicked one of them but it did nothing
and another appeared in its place and also a new tab,.. its in a loop.
From what you describe it sounds more work than its worth to try and
fix it.
So how about about this,.. I'll put in a replacement HD and use the
mrimgs to
restore it and bring it up to date.
Question: Can I clone over the current bad ebay 8500 hd once removed? Also
before I do so, can I download my bookmarks or will they be infected as
well?
