Es kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass das passiert - und es
passiert halt. Einen Ausfall will man auf vielen Systemen nicht haben -
daher hat man Redundanz und Monitoring.

Ein Bauteil, was so komplex ist und ewig hält, existiert de facto nicht.

Genau deshalb habe ich RAID.
Eine Woche ist selbst bei dauerhafter Schreiboperation nicht drin.

Es mag einen sehr geringen Teil an Ausschuss geben, aber der Normalfall
ist das definitiv nicht. Wie gesagt, es gibt wenige Platten, die nach
kurzer Zeit ausfallen.

Nein, das ist einfache Mathematik und Statistik.

Du kannst ja mal in ein Rechenzentrum deiner Wahl gehen und nachfragen,
ob es eine Statistik zu Ausfällen von Datenträgern gibt.

Dann kannst du dir mal ausrechnen, wie hoch die Wahrscheinlichkeit ist,
dass über einen Zeitraum definitiv kein Datenträger einen Ausfall (muss
kein Totalausfall sein) hat.
