minimize reflections, which supposedly cause read errors and thereby

what they neglect to mention is there's error correction built into the
spec.

that's exactly why.

it sounds like what they're used to. it's nostalgic.

it's not because it's better.

nothing.

if you want the distortion imparted by tubes, you can add it back, just
as you can add back pops&clicks, tape hiss or whatever else you want.

it all can be digitally modeled.
