Again, what is it about the medium SPECIFICALLY that results in
propagation? Do you know the answer to this question? Physicists do.

The 19th century physicists did.
I have been elaborating upon their concepts of aether.
I have extended them to include aether in the intra-atomic space.
As the electron moves back into its normal position it disturbs the
surrounding aether.
This disturbance propagates through space.

Modern physicists hold that em radiation is matter following
e(v)=hv where v is frequency and h is Planck's constant and e is the energy
of the photon
and m=e(v)/c^2 where m is the mass of the photon following Einstein's relation.

So light is a particle of mass, and so as it has mass it bends with gravity.
So light from the stars got bent during the eclipse of the sun with respect to
their nightly positions.

But...
as the bending of light was an optical effect caused by the Sun's atmosphere,
there is at the least the scope for DOUBLE COUNTING
or
we have to accept that light is aetheric disturbance with NO MASS
and
if light has no mass the it is not a particle
it is a disturbance.

Cheers,

how? there is no interaction, there is no aether, that was proven long
ago. Google " Michelson–Morley experiment "

there is no evidence or proof of aether anywhere.

Did anyone other than myself say around 2005 that it was just an optical effect?
Why should I bother about GR theories when the bending is just an optical
effect?
Put a pencil in a glass tumbler filled with water.
Does the pencil actually bend or appear to bend?
Refraction is the effect of the wave nature of light.
Light is not schizophrenic.

no, very clear results, reproduced thousands of times, with much higher
accuracy.

Modern physicists do NOT hold that the mass of the photon is m=e(v)/c^2.
I have no idea where you got such a stupid idea.

It is far from stupid if you hold that
e=mcc
and e=hV (energy of a photon)
If you hold these two correct then a photon MUST have mass m = hv/C^2
which will be evident to anyone with the slightest knowledge of algebra.

Of course as e=mcc is false this equation for photon mass m=hv/c^2 is wrong.

Modern physicists are all mad as they support e=mcc.
They are all as distorted as spacetime.
AS they support GR they MUST associate light/photon with mass.
They did that to "prove" GR.
They are wrong of course.
Their schizophrenic attitude has caused havoc to many aspects of life in the
20th century. It has corrupted everything.
Getting rid of their dogma is thus the way to go in this century.
Down e=mcc; up e=0.5mVVN(N-k)

That's just it, Arindam.
The e in e=mc^2 is not the same energy that is in e=h*nu.
If you would actually READ the references where these are discussed, you
would know that the same label "e" is being used for two completely
different quantities. And had you done that, then you wouldn't make the
foolish mistake of equating them.

The mistake is yours, and it's a silly one born of ignorance.

Both are energy e.
e is the energy of a photon. And that energy is hv.
Any book on quantum theory will tell you that.

The photon is treated as a particle with kinetic energy as particles must have.

There is no aether in quantum theory/relativity as per Einstein in 1905 and
this is blindly swallowed and regurgitated by the modern physicists.

The photon is a particle travelling at the speed of light according to them.

It may have wave like qualities to account for refraction, diffraction,
beam-forming, etc. and that follows from de Broglie's HYPOTHESIS.

Now if e=mcc as per all Eisnteinian
then the mass of the photon HAS to be
hv/c^2

Simple derivation, based upon the logic of modern physics.
Wrong of course.
But that is another story which is what I am writing in my Aphorisms.

Sooner or later the e=mcc nonsense will be clear to all.

And how its adherents use confusion, abuse, ad hom attacks to maintain their
crumbling position.

Cheers,
Arindam Banerjee

No. The first is Rest Energy only. The correct expression for the total
energy of a particle is
E^2 = (mc^2)^2 + (pc)^2

You have made a silly and obvious error. Because you did not bother

I was not talking about a particle.
I was talking about a photon.
Which has a frequency and Planck's constant too attached with it.
The energy of a photon e = hv
If you see this as a particle then that is its energy.

I have read enough of that nonsense.
You are trying to twist matters with saying that I have made an error whereas
you have confused a particle with a photon.

The formula above applies to photons AND other particles.

Yes, the energy of the photon is described this way.

> If you see this as a particle then that is its energy.

But that is not to be equated with e=mc^2.
It is to be equated with the E in
E^2 = (mc^2)^2 + (pc)^2

For the photon, m is zero, which is what any physicist will tell you,
but p is not zero.
So for a photon E = pc, and E = hv
So that pc=hv or p = hv/c.

You have made a silly and obvious error. Because you did not bother reading.

No, sir, it is you that has made a silly error.
I know it is hard for someone with delusions of divinity to stoop to
confessing an error. A divine person as you imagine yourself to be is
infallible, incapable of error, correct?

Correct. Say Odd, Do not you recognize a certain similarity here in
personal viewpoint and opinion of self to a certain of your butt-buddies
that used to hang here? Namely HVAC?

WRONG.

>Simple derivation, based upon the logic of modern physics.
>Wrong of course.

It is you who is wrong, because you used the formula incorrectly.
The REAL mass-energy formula is E=sqrt((mc^2)^2 + (pc)^2).
m = the rest mass and p is the momentum.

For a massive particle at rest or moving relatively slowly, the pc term
is small compared to the mc^2 portion so the formula simplifies to
E=sqrt(m^2c^4) which simplifies to the familiar E=mc^2.
Remember, E=mc^2 is a SPECIAL CASE.

For a photon with zero rest mass, the mc^2/m^2c^4 term becomes zero so now
the formula is E=sqrt(p^2c^2). whic simplifies to E=pc.
A different special case.

At no point are the two energy components equated. Instead, their squares
are added.
