Antarctica freezes over
14 million years ago

Antarctica wasn't always a frozen wasteland. It wasn't until
around 34 million years ago that the first small glaciers formed
on the tops of Antarctica's mountains. And it was 20 million
years later, when world-wide temperatures dropped by 8 degrees C,

indicate that the fluctuation of climate during the last few
hundred thousand years is remarkably close to that predicted by
Milankovitch... IOW, it's just as I said, solar and orbital
forcing causes climate change as it has for every glaciation and
interglacial period throughout the planet's history. Humans
contribute almost nothing in comparison to that giant fusion
furnace in the sky.

CO2 is a negatively correlated feedback mechanism of the
Milankovitch cycle, not a driver of climate change. It's been
proven that CO2 lags temperature change by 600 - 1000 years, and
that CO2 causes *cooling* due to more efficient re-radiation of
heat back out to space in the infrared, on the dark side of the
planet. The net effect of an increase in CO2 would be larger
temperature drops on the dark side of the planet, the same as is
seen on Mars due to its high CO2 concentration.

Technically, we are not exiting the Quaternary ice age.

You are quoting an article that repeatedly asserts
atmospheric CO2 levels to be the driving force of planetary
temperature. Some of their claims are probably facts,
but not that one. Also that article contradicts your
claim that

I think that ice ages are ultimately a result of continental
plate movements interfering with oceanic mixing. If oceans
are free to move heat from pole to pole then there is no
ice age.

Yes, the ice sheet formed more like 14 mya. 
Sea ice rafting dates back further and I mistook that.

"Heavily glaciated". The ice sheet or instances of them
date back further.
