with bigger slide rules can you can get 64 bit precision...



bonus question:

how much bigger ?

take a 18 inch picket, you can get about 6 digits of mantissa
(significand) if you have great eyesight,
6 digits is 48 bit

how much bigger does the slide rule have to be to get to 64 bit ?
(assuming same eyesight)
