Personally I intensely disliked every operating system Microsoft ever produced and only used them to run applications that can only be run on a Microsoft OS. When using a computer, it is the applications that are important to me, NOT the OS. In the near future I will be buying an iPad because there is an application I very much want to run that only runs on the iPad. For development my preferred OS is Solaris Unix on hardware that has at least 4, and preferably, 8 or more CPUs. -- Jim Pennino
