You object to certain things because they just don't "feel right". But beyond this, you seem to be completely stymied to explain what's wrong. You then say that they don't feel right, and so there must be some common sense rules that are being broken by them. But then notice that you can't lay your hand on any particular rule that applies, one that you know is true with some confidence. So you don't really have any THINKING rationale for what you say is possible and impossible, only what your gut tells you. As an example of this, you have this mental image that as an object moves, it must be giving off or consuming energy. You don't know WHY you have this image, but you just do. Nor can you point to any physical law or rule that says that objects must lose energy as they move. Only that your mental image is that they do. Nowhere in any of this do you ever consider the possibility that your mental image is just flat wrong. Another example is what you stated just above. The presence of sulfur tells you that Jupiter must have a crust, as though sulfur cannot exist as a gas. Why you have this image in your head, I can't say, but it's flat wrong. Sulfur gas exists even in the sun. So what does this tell you about your mental images of how the world is? -- Odd Bodkin --- maker of fine toys, tools, tables
