Archimedes does not want to consider other tools because, frankly, he 
has difficulty learning them. He has only Google, Google Groups, a few 
selected TV channels, and a few selected science magazines he reads. 
Anything outside of those channels is invisible to him. However, he is 
egocentric enough to complain that if a subject of interest doesn't 
appear in his selected magazines or TV shows, then they are at fault for 
that. He is also egocentric enough to believe that if a tool he is using 
irritates him, then the maker of the tool should correct that so the 
source of the irritation is removed. He also thinks that any activity 
that is irritating to him is in fact criminal.

Archimedes cannot be reasoned with because he is, deep down, not really 
rational. Deep down, he knows he has problems, but he just doesn't want 
anybody else reminding him of that.
