What you call "front page hogging" is merely a function of using Google
Groups and how they order posts and their lack of a killfile. If you don't
like how Google Groups displays Usenet, why not use something better? There
are plenty of newsreaders out there.  You were a user of Usenet long before
Google even existed, so you must know this.

I have no "front page" issue. New posts show up at the end for me. I have
McGinn killfiled so as far as I am concerned, he simply doesn't exist.

Google has no control over Usenet, other than how it displays it to those
who use their (broken) services to read it.

It is up to Google how they display Usenet.  If the past is any prediction,
don't expect them to ever improve how they display Usenet.  And again, they
do not control Usenet.

I ask again, if you don't like how Google displays Usenet, why do you still
use Google? Especially since I know you know of non-Google Usenet software.
