They are trying hard to keep it constant, which is absurd, but provide no mechanism eluding exactly that. Of course, if this is a fault, it must be Einstein's. Not my fault.

You have a lot to learn. Not in Physics, but surely other domains. Meanwhile, you are not that brilliant in physics yourself. And the above may serve as enough proof.

Eduardo Del Lago escrito What you seem to be arguing is that MOTION IS RECIPROCAL. I.e., there is no way to tell if I am moving as I drive down the street or if I am stationary and the street is moving under me. That is not only wrong, IT IS STUPID. It is #1 on my list of the DUMBEST beliefs in physics: http://dumbguynewissues.blogspot.com/2018/02/the-10-dumbest-ideas-in-physics.html Link Still Doesn't Work

Proof that the higher clock is running at correct rate is that the frequency of the light is the same as the frequency of the light generated by the lower clock. As Tom has told you repeatedly, it is not the clock slowing down. Time itself is different between the two clocks. IOW, the first principle of physics (this extends beyond relativity) is the principle that the laws of nature are the same throughout the universe. because of this, we know the clocks themselves run at their normal rate. A five minute egg at the higher clock takes five minutes at that higher location. We have given you so many examples. It comes down to whether you wish to learn physics or to just profit on voodoo science. Ed

Proof that the higher clock is running > at correct rate is that the frequency of the light is the same > as the frequency of the light generated by the lower clock. You are just babbling. I use the NIST experiment to show that the NIST SAYS that clocks "run slow." And so do other experts. I QUOTE THEM when Tom argues that scientists to not say that clocks run slow. Frequency of the light? I'm not sure what you are talking about. > As Tom has told you repeatedly, it is not the clock slowing > down. Time itself is different between the two clocks. I KNOW time is different between the two clocks. That is why they run at different rates. The higher clock runs faster than the lower clock. There is no "clock slowing down" anywhere. It would happen WHILE you are lowering a clock, or accelerating a clock, but no one has ever measured that. I don't know HOW they would measure that. What they measure is ACCUMULATED time. It takes longer to accumulate x amount of time for the lower clock and the faster clock than for the higher clock and slower clock. > > IOW, the first principle of physics (this extends beyond > relativity) is the principle that the laws of nature are the > same throughout the universe. because of this, we know the > clocks themselves run at their normal rate. A five minute egg > at the higher clock takes five minutes at that higher location. > We have given you so many examples. "Normal rate" has no meaning when clocks run at different rates virtually everywhere. The laws of physics are the same throughout the universe because the laws of physics include VARIABLES. Time and the speed of light are VARIABLES. Yes, that means a five minute egg boiled at a high location is the same as a five minute egg boiled at a low location. Five minutes may be shorter at the high location, but (assuming the air pressure is the same) it takes less time to cook the egg at the high location because all the chemical processes are also operating faster. > > It comes down to whether you wish to learn physics > or to just profit on voodoo science. Profit on voodoo science? There is no profit in this for me. I was just trying to find out why physics teachers are teaching nonsense. It is because they teach mathematical dogma, not the reality of science and physics. Ed

The NIST paper is here: https://ws680.nist.gov/publication/get_pdf.cfm?pub_id=905055 We have discussed it many times. It says, "Observers in relative motion or at different gravitational potentials measure disparate clock rates. These predictions of relativity have previously been observed with atomic clocks at high velocities and with large changes in elevation." "We can now also detect time dilation due to a change in height near Earth’s surface of less than 1 meter." "Another consequence of Einstein’s theory is that clocks run more slowly near massive objects." "The Al+ ion clock in motion advances at a rate that is slower than its rate at rest." You have repeatedly argued that clocks do NOT run slow at different altitudes or different velocities, that some magical "signals" just make it appear that way. Even though the quotes above are from their paper in SCIENCE magazine, you argued that they did not mean what they wrote. They were "dumbing down" things for people who do not understand physics. To me, that says you do not agree with the experts at the NIST and their experiments. Ed
