I'm not that well informed about Buddha, but understand that he was more
of a teacher than a prophet.

Don't want....

A statement like yours is true, because you failed to limit its
validity. E.g. you have not specified, what 'rain' actually means.

Does it also cover 'marshmallow rain'?

And you have not specified the location and the time.

So you made a valid prediction, which is of no value whatsoever.

The value is higher, if the prediction is more specific.

And very high would be the numbers of the lottery of next week (or
sports results, political events or similar).

This is so, because foreknowledge would allow successful bets and that
could be rather profitable.

>> You seem to confuse 'prophet' with 'fortune teller'.

Predictions is, what scientists do (and fortune tellers). Prophets are
teachers. And they would never bet, while fortune tellers actually try
to create foreknowledge to make bets more profitable.

No. A prophecy requires foreknowledge, while fortune tellers use means
like tea-leaves, Tarot cards or chicken bones.

Your cowardice is noted.

Exactly as bible prophesies do.

WTF is that? Is that like the supposed 'manna from heaven' that the
Israelites ate whilst on their supposed exodus?

Exactly as bible prophesies do.

Within the next 24 hours isn't specifying a time, in your world?

Exactly as bible prophesies do.

Indeed. Please point out that sort of specific prediction/prophesy in the
bible.

No argument there, but nothing like that appears in the bible.

Indeed.

So, in your world prophesies (that _is_ what prophets do) aren't
predictions.

You've no idea about fortune tellers or gambling, have you?

Like the foreknowledge that it will rain somewhere in the world within the
following 24 hours?
Thanks for making me a prophet.
And, unlike biblical prophets, my prophesies come true.

You appear to be using bullshit.

Bravo.

And that is precisely the problem with biblical prophesy.

No!

Whatever meaning the AUTHOR wants it to have.

Religious scripts should be understood in the context of religious
initiation.

Our current use of printed material as kind of entertainment was - of
course - unknown in ancient times.

One reason: printing did not exist.

Everything was carefully written on papyrus, pergament or similar. And
that was very expensive.

Another problem: most people could not read.

And even if they could read, they would have trouble with Greek, Hebrew
and Latin.

So such books were not meant to be read by common people, but by members
of some kind of monastery or church.

And in case they had problems with understanding, they could always ask
somebody.

And those superiors would tell them, how to interpret the text.

The authors made it so unclear that it means whatever the reader wants it
to mean.

You spelt 'indoctrination' incorrectly.

Whatever the superior wanted it to mean.

Yes.

Nope. The author may be trying to make a point but it is always up to
the reader for the final interpretation.

Since Jews were never slaves in Egypt, there's no need to read any

Moses & The Queen of Sheba 3:06
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqtJsotUU4s

The Queen of Sheba was the Empress of Ethiopia who married the Egyptian
(Tut-)Moses.

They ruled a kingdom, which also contained the former people of Ethiopia
(which were Jewish).

The male line of Egyptian Sun worship then merged with monotheism in the
female line (Judaism).

So the original Jews must have been black people like today Ethiopians.

If you call the citizens of that time 'slaves' is actually a question
for debate.

Where's your evidence that Jews were ever slaves in Egypt? That line of

Sorry, but my knowledge of the Bible is only fragmentary.

But as far as I know the Jews had to flee from Egypt. This escape was
possible because the Red Sea split apart and drowned the prosecuting
Egyptians.

The Jews came to Egypt, because they were give to the Pharao as kind of
tribute. Since it was the Queen of Sheba, who gave them to the Pharao,
the Jews had to stem from her kingdom (->Ethiopia).

So original Jews would have been 'black'.

The bible is worthless as history.

They were never in Egypt, so they never had to leave.

This is complete fantasy. It never happened.

The Jews were never in Egypt.

You still haven't provided evidence for this assertion.

Men rarely (if ever) manage to dream
up a God superior to themselves. Most
Gods have the manners and morals of a
spoiled child.

I know some people personally, who are Jewish.

One is a musician and looks a little like Bob Marley.

So he has dread locks and very dark skin.

The 'white' Jews I know, look more or less like Germans.

So how did that happen?

My guess: it's all wrong and the biblical Jews were African people.

And I found a lot of hits in that direction.
But it's also possible to type 'black jews' into the search mask of
Google or YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=black+jews

results in 868,000 findings, e.g. this one

"The JEWS are BLACK pt 1 Roman Catacombs 100-600 AD "
