The Laser Interferometric Gravitational-Wave Observatory LIGO (2016) detected stellar gravitational waves (gravitons) that are formed by the merging of two black holes that gravitational waves are detected using a laser interferometer. "Observation of Gravitational Waves from a Binary Black Hole Merger" (Abbot, Title, PRL 116, 061102, 2016). "On September 14, 2015 at 09:50:45 UTC the two detectors of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory simultaneously observed a transient gravitational-wave signal. The signal sweeps upwards in frequency from 35 to 250 Hz with a peak gravitational-wave strain of 1.0 × 10-21." (Abbot, Abstract, PRL 116, 061102, 2016). "For quasicircular inspirals, these are predicted uniquely by Einstein’s equations as a function of the masses and spins of the two progenitor black holes." (Abbot, § VI, PRL 116, 061102, 2016). "In summary, all three tests are consistent with the predictions of general relativity in the strong-field regime of gravity." (Abbot, § VI, PRL 116, 061102, 2016). The LIGO detected celestial electromagnetic gravitational waves (gravitons) that originates from a pulsar that produces a 10-21 strain which represents a disturbance of the position of the interferometer mirror but the estimated mirror's positional disturbance of 10-18 m is three orders of magnitude less than the diameter of an electron which is an unrealistic mechanism. Example, if a person on the west coast of the USA is bowing towards the west, the Dalai Lama at the top of the Ganden Phodrang cannot see the person bowing using a telescope. The LIGO strain magnitude of 10-21 strain is similar to a positive result of the hand waving example. Also, gravitational physics is based on Einstein's general relativity that uses Maxwell's equations that are derived using Faraday's induction effect that is not a gravitational effect. The argument is used to justify gravitational waves by stating that gravity waves are not electromagnetic waves and that Einstein's time-space produces gravitational waves but time-space is a coordinate system not a structure. Altering the dimensions of a coordinate system (time-space) does not represent a structure which invalidates using time-space to represent the structure of the entity that produces gravity.

Yet you can't even see one black hole, much less two merging. The story is fake news.

The ’nym-shifting troll demonstrated their ignorance as "Lovu Biftek" <ufeli@fupuks.cl>: > numbernumber1964 wrote: >> The Laser Interferometric Gravitational-Wave Observatory LIGO (2016) >> detected stellar gravitational waves (gravitons) that are formed by the >> merging of two black holes that gravitational waves are detected using a >> laser interferometer. > > Yet you can't even see one black hole, much less two merging. The story is > fake news. One does NOT use visible light to observe the merger of black holes DIRECTLY. One uses a laser to detect the CHANGE IN LENGTH of an INTERFEROMETER ARM, which can only be caused by a GRAVITATIONAL WAVE passing through the interferometer, which can only be caused by a merger of black holes and similar events. However, one can observe and HAS OBSERVED in 2017 the result of two NEUTRON STARS MERGING, across the electromagnetic spectrum, including visible light, and one can determine and HAS DETERMINED that the gravitational waves caused by such an event come FROM THE SAME AREA OF SPACE, IN THE WAY PREDICTED BY THE THEORY (GENERAL RELATIVITY). This confirms once again that gravitational waves are a REAL phenomenon and that general relativity provides is a CORRECT description of Nature. As you could have learned if you had actually followed the news. (You would not even had to read a/the scientific paper[s], which you are manifestly unable to anyway, thanks you your complete lack of understanding of English.) <https://www.ligo.caltech.edu/> pp. *PLONK* -- PointedEars Twitter: @PointedEars2 Please do not cc me. / Bitte keine Kopien per E-Mail.

The video I referred to in it is 8 minutes 20 seconds long. This tells me: 1. You have too much free time on your hands for your own good. 2. Since you are using Google Groups, you must be spending your free time with frantically updating the posting in sci.physics.relativity to find postings that you can, cluelessly, disagree with, for your self- aggrandizement. 3. You have not watched the video to the end, if at all, before replying. This is the /modus operandi/ of an ignorant. 4. Not only you do not know what you are talking about; you do not want to know. This is the /modus operandi/ of a believer: a believer will disregard all evidence that is (potentially) contrary to their belief; in this case, your belief that our universe would be easy to understand (so that your puny mind would be able to understand it, which would give your sorry existence some meaning), and that the elaborate descriptions that science has come up with would be part of some sort of conspiracy based on belief, to keep you from learning the simple universal truth. Well, (not really) sorry to break it to you, the simple truth is instead: the ways to describe our universe properly are not simple because our universe is not. It is awfully complicated, which is why after about 400 years we have only managed to figure out a small part of it – but that well. It is why it takes long and hard studying to understand how it probably works; why it takes a scientist, and not only only a laymen like yourself, to work on those problems. The record shows that it can be expected that you reply to this with some sort of half-wit nonsense. It would be agreeable if you disappointed that expectation for a change. Not at all. My conclusions, some of which are conjectures (granted), follow
logically from your irrational actions.

No, you have not. You have not even understood how it was obtained, which
is why you are blathering nonsense about it.
> and it's no way better than the medieval evidence for angels

But it is. By contrast to the angels, it is not just a fantasy: it has been
MEASURED VERY PRECISELY and it agrees with the computer simulations that are
based on CALCULATIONS.
Your problem is that YOU just HAVE NO CLUE at all. Your other problem is
that you are actually proud about that.
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNgIl-qIklU>
“In my experience, there’s a lot of people out there who understand
that they can’t understand it, and are very glad that somebody can.
There’s also people who are very resentful. They’re resentful…
They think there’s a conspiracy, a conspiracy that ‘the priesthood
of science’ is hiding something.”
—Dr. Leonard Susskind, theoretical physicist
Recognize yourself in the latter?
“Can you tell them no?”
Susskind:
“No, no, no. We’re not hiding anything. WE WANT MORE THAN ANYTHING
ELSE THAT PEOPLE should listen to us, and UNDERSTAND WHAT WE’RE SAYING.
But we’re stuck with this obstacle of mathematics.”
Now listen very carefully what the guys making this video are telling you IN
PLAIN ENGLISH. I write it in capital letters again so that it hopefully
gets through your thick skull:
“So if you want to understand the universe beyond the basic stuff that we
can see and touch, YOU GOTTA LEARN THE MATH.
But IT’S ALSO OK if you don’t know the math, because THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT
THERE WHO DEVOTED THEIR LIVES AND YEARS OF RESEARCH TO UNDERSTANDING THIS
STUFF, AND THEY [SCIENTISTS] ARE DOING A PRETTY GOOD JOB. Science is a
CONSTANTLY EVOLVING field. But THERE IS PLENTY THAT THEY [SCIENTISTS]
DO KNOW. And THEY’RE GETTING BETTER AND BETTER AT MAKING PREDICTIONS.
[…]”
Susskind:
“[…] And I think one can be pretty sure that anybody who thinks they have
the final answer now is smoking something bad. Or maybe they should be
smoking something better :)”
I think this sums it up nicely.

I would tell you to learn to read my postings comprehensively, but you are
evidently too mindbogglingly stupid for that. Find a truck to run over you.
NOW.

I believe what Dr. Sushika wrote is based on the stupidities and incompetencies in Physics and other Various Domains, displayed by you constantly all the time, soon you manage putting two words together in English, substantially helped by Google Translate. Obvious for anyone, capable to read, that you are chronically unemployable. And you don't know what a plonk stands for, right now as we speak.

This will be added to your record as already sent to your provider,
aioe.org. May you be blocked from posting soon.

There is no "Dr. Sushika"; you are merely defending your sock puppet again.

Have shame, delivering fruits and vegetables, near that university you say you work. Not to blame because of that, but your obvious incompetencies in science and physics. Let people know that.

Why isn't there just a shock wave at c besides the tachyonic component as what the event in spacetime creates to all physical observers? Gravitational waves: not just echoes. Let's not forget that in GTR, spacetime is continuously and constantly bent (that the geodesy is always current). (Here "relativistic events" includes "relativistic organizations of motion" besides "relativistic collisions".)
