They have difficulties in admitting the simple fact that vacuum cannot bend, curve, contract etc. So simple like this. The whatever abstract notion of "spacetime" might be, it cannot curves, for the simple obvious reason that it has no Crystalline Structure, or Structure whatsoever. Something that Bends needs Structure. There is no structure in Vacuum. Without Structure of Spacetime, the castle of Relativity falls down.
