The only way to confirm SR is to directly measure light speed from a 
moving source and show that it has the value c. Until that is done, the 
whole of Einstein's theory will remain nothing but science fiction. No 
experiment has yet supported any aspect of it and it has never been used 
in technology anywhere.

An analysis of many variable star curves fully supports the view that 
light moves at c relative to its source and at c+v relative to a moving 
observer. Even your silly term 'closing speed' can be used to show that 
light from an orbiting source will appear to vary in intensity when 
received at a distance, as calculated by a third observer.
