(According to the standard model of cosmology) The questions are: does it make sense? is it a valid assumption? I would say, no, it is both: untrue and stupid. The reason is, that if big-bang-cosmology would be true, we would see kind of milky soup along the 'edge', what is about 13.5 billion light-years away. But we see galaxies that far away. This does not fit to the big-bang theory, since galaxies need time to form (particles first, than dust, than stars, than stars building structures). And it would most likely take a LOT of time. So galaxies are not expected near the 'edge'. TH
