It's common engineering, and humans > decide, what these assumptions are. Here I agree. But in this thread I have held the position, that I had an assumption, which I would like to discuss. You and others denied me this right, but wrote, a mathematical model is all what counts in physics. I think, the model is a certain description of a phenomenon observed in the real world. Essential is not the model, but to understand, how this phenomenon functions. This would also require to make unbiased observations, that are not designed to validate once certain view on the world. I may, nevertheless, have a bias towards 'Growing Earth', since minority positions may have 'blinders' and focus on their little subject. TH
