The first *physicist*. Who else would be doing physics if not a physicist? A painter paints. A bus driver drives buses. A physicist is a scientist who does physics. And a crank is a layman who thinks they are doing physics but really does not have the slightest clue; a layman who cannot be convinced to reconsider. Sounds familiar?
