Because it is *you* who has claimed that the speed of light would _not_ be constant, that it would depend on the motion of the source of the light, *despite* *all* observations in the past 400 years providing evidence to the contrary. BTW, you, being on planet Earth, only can know that there is the Andromeda Galaxy because light that was emitted from its stars (ca. 2.54 million years ago) has traveled from the Andromeda Galaxy to the Milky Way Galaxy, to the Sol System, to planet Earth, and to and into the retina of your eye [1]. Whatever you think “your light” is, most of it has travelled huge distances, at 299'792'458 m∕s or less (depending on the optical density of the medium it travels through [2]), before you perceive it.
