Hi, Complete micro penis moron repeats his nonsense over and over? Although I am told him already about unified memory architecture (UMA) convergence: > to the embedded gpu, blocked by the speed of the cpu Ever heard of Dual-Channel-RAM in the new AI laptops? Whats wrong with you moron? I mean I wrote LPDDR5X-RAM here, didn't I? >> Arbeitsspeicher 32 GB Arbeitsspeichertyp LPDDR5X-RAM For Ryzen AI systems, using RAM in dual-channel mode is essential. Since local AI models, integrated graphics units (iGPUs), and processors all access the same memory pool, dual-channel provides double the memory bandwidth. This drastically reduces latencies. Dual-channel memory (such as DDR5-5600 or LPDDR5x-8000) is strictly required, especially for the latest Ryzen AI 300 laptops (Strix Point) or high-end Ryzen AI Max systems, to fully exploit the maximum performance values (TOPS) of the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and the integrated Radeon graphics. Hi, Micro penis is flogging the dead horse PCI VRAM graphic card. If you combine unified memory architecture (UMA) with CMOS 2.0 you can build amazing things, a PCI interface to a VRAM never can do. For example you could also place GPUs and CPU cores on a die side by side, a card need to be GPU only, and of course huge amounts of RAM. And then stack the things vertically somehow, like the 3.5D advanced packaging: "Das Substrat (organisches Package) stellt die unterste Ebene dar. Darauf sitzt der passive Silicon Interposer als Chip on Wafer on Substrate (CoWoS). Hi, Mostlikely the putin troll has still a mental model of a GPU from the times of Sputnik. But GPUs have evolved from SIMD to MIMD. I posted that already at least 3x times that a NVIDIA Volta architecture is necessary for pi-WAM. If I am not mistaken the evolution happened around 10 years ago. It was first announced on a roadmap in March 2013, although the first product was not announced until May 2017. And its amazingly what a stack overflow user writes: "An important purpose of the feature is to enable reliable use of programming models such as producer-consumer within a warp" https://stackoverflow.com/q/70987051 Thats exactly what I will explore, in the context of pi-WAM. Maybe not exactly as the stack overflow user thinks it is done, but in spirit. Hi, Remember Micro Penis, the putin payed troll, with fluctuating *.ru Email adresses. He never grasped the concept of unified memory and iGPU. Poor boy. I might need a lot of Diaper Now. Shitting his pants nonstop. There is a nice annoucement by Microsoft, cooperating with NVIDIA: "unified memory" pool shared between 20 ARM CPU cores and a Blackwell GPU boasting 6,144 CUDA cores without melting a portable chassis, they use wide-bus, ultra-low-latency LPDDR5X channels mapped straight into a coherent memory space." Introducing Surface Laptop Ultra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1Oj792qc80 I guess I have found my next tester for pi-WAM. So far I didn't acquire yet a AI laptop with a NVIDIA GPU and renting a NVIDIA GPU has also stalled. But I doubt the above thingy will be on a shoestring price budget. Could be something above, but Autumn 2026 is nearing quickly. Have Fun everybody! Bye P.S.: Some reports say CUDA doesn't run well. But who needs CUDA if you have Vulkan? I also suspect they product my only come out 2027 or 2028, who knows? Maybe Microsoft has new a fewer, it already dropped the Copilot+ brand, too confusing, and its all "Ultra" now. Hi, When looking at CERN the term Accelerator Linux has a totally different meaning, since they also accelerate a lot of stuff in their Particle Physics experiments: "Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 9 and RHEL 10) raised its minimum CPU architecture requirements (requiring x86-64-v2 and v3 instruction sets). If CERN had stayed on the Red Hat / IBM ecosystem, they would have been forced to decommission and replace those 2,200 functional industrial machines. Redesigning and replacing that embedded hardware was estimated to cost around CHF 5.4 million (over $6 million USD)." https://www.phoronix.com/news/CERN-Goes-Debian-Leaving-RHEL Ubuntu doesn't seem to have this dilemma, you can easily Accelerate your Linux, by opting in to use vector and/or matrix operations, and not only scalars: "Opt-in "amd64v3" Performance: Starting with Ubuntu 25.10 and extending into Ubuntu 26.10, Canonical introduced optimized package archives targeting x86-64-v3." https://rueegger.me/ubuntu-2604-x86-64-v3-aktivieren/ Actually v3 is still a little weak. v4 has AVX-512 heavy lifting, and many AI laptops have even more, like general matrix multiplications (GEMM) units. Bye Disclaimer: CERN has clarified that their focus with the migration is on their industrial accelerator-control computers while data centers and experimental computing remain on RHEL/AlmaLinux. Hi, Terrence Tao is a payed troll, by the System Inteligence Sect Movement. Right? Now I read: Slow Software: The Case for High-latency Systems Development https://www.sigops.org/2026/slow-software-the-case-for-high-latency-systems-development/ Terrence Tao has a YT video about slow is better than fast. Here he claims there is litterally a paradox of efficiency: Terrence Tao: The paradox of efficiency https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svl_1upFpQo He litterally paints a romantic picture of a manchete excursion into an eldorado, while beaten by a helicopter. LoL I think its unhealthy to confuse efficient/ineffeicient and slow/fast with exact/inexact and careful/careless etc.. These people are just morons. Hi, These issues are at the core of cognitive science and artifical intelligence. A milestone was for example the Cognitive Revolution, leaving behind Skinners behaviorism of simple stimulus/response: Cognitive Revolution https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_revolution Herbert Simon took it into economics: Bounded Rationality https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounded_rationality But system intelligence now talks of blast radius, and looks at ecosystems of software repositories. So its clearly not anymore individual psychology nor single software agent problems, or individual freedom and accountability. We are in the mists of rediscovering distributed artificial intelligence research and social psychology. So a Terrence Tao giving machete djungle advice on an individual level, is surely a lame joke, to say the least. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Hi,
How it started:
""Arday’s Cool Britannia is both a brave
cultural history and a deeply personal odyssey.
Retrieving the 1990s from retro sentimentality,
Arday reminds us that the decade of Brit pop
and girl power was also an era of discriminatory
policing, hostile immigration policy and the
murder of Stephen Lawrence. A necessary corrective
to the Brit nostalgia and historical amnesia
that mark our present day."

Uncorking the Champagne Supernova
https://www.routledge.com/Cool-Britannia-and-Multi-Ethnic-Britain-Uncorking-the-Champagne-Supernova/Arday/p/book/9781032239989
How its going:
Arday was found unresponsive at his home
in Battersea on 14 August 2026, and was
pronounced dead at the scene, aged 41.
Mr Cofnas, who claims he advocates for
“race realism”, is currently a postdoctoral
researcher at Ghent University’s department
of philosophy and moral sciences, according
to his website.
On 20 August 2026, Cofnas was suspended
from Ghent University.

Hi,
Its actually quite amazing. Gemini, DeepSeek,
OpenAI all know Dmitriy V'jukov. I have asked
the IntelliJ integrated Freeium AI to generate
some code for me, I guess their service uses
by default OpenAI (Codex), and had it reviewed
by Gemini and DeepSeek. These AIs started lecturing
me about lazySet() in Java. But I went with set():
private static boolean enqueue(Queue q, Object data) {
int pos = q.enqueuePos.get();
for (; ; ) {
int index = pos & q.bufferMask;
int seq = q.sequences.get(index);
int dif = seq - pos;
if (dif == 0) {
if (q.enqueuePos.compareAndSet(pos, pos + 1)) {
q.data[index] = data;
q.sequences.set(index, pos + 1);
return true;
}
pos = q.enqueuePos.get();
} else if (dif < 0) {
return false;
} else {
pos = q.enqueuePos.get();
}
}
}
The above version seems to be more suitable
for my purpose, since it allows polling, it
basically implements offer(). While the
version posted on in the lock free group
by Chris M. Thomasson implements a spin wait
blocking put() already.
But I didn't port it yet to JavaScript or WGSL.
Currently busy with realizing a Worker facade
in JavaScript for a CPU backend that will run
in both the browser and node.js.

Yes of course, Micro Penis will know. Nothing, LoL
But here we find how village idiot Micro Penis is.
The Cache Identity Crisis by Micro Penis:
Claiming that L1/L2/L3 caches and core
topology are "embedded cpu registers area,
it has nothing to do with the ram." That is
a brilliant piece of hardware fiction.
Caches are SRAM acting as a hierarchical
staging ground for and backed by system
or device RAM, not an alternate dimension
divorced from memory entirely.
And calling cache hierarchies "registers"
is like confusing a warehouse parking lot
with the glove compartment of a single car.
Never heard of the crossbar in AMD GPUs?

Hi,
If you don't know how GPU caches work.
Just RTFM the RDNA 3.5 specs! They have
some explanations in the docs, what jobs
the GPU cache lines do, in relation to
what instructions:
Abbreviation for ‘Read The Fucking Manual’.
http://www.catb.org/esr/jargon/html/R/RTFM.html
Here some RDNA 4.0 specs (smaller GPUs):
"RDNA4" Instruction Set Architecture
Reference Guide - 7-April-2025
https://docs.amd.com/v/u/en-US/rdna4-instruction-set-architecture
Here some CDNA 4.0 specs (bigger GPUs):
CDNA4 Instruction Set Architecture
Reference Guide - 5-August-2025
https://www.amd.com/content/dam/amd/en/documents/instinct-tech-docs/instruction-set-architectures/amd-instinct-cdna4-instruction-set-architecture.pdf
Bye
But the difference between CDNA GPUs and
RDNA GPUs seems not to be that big, at least
in 2025:
Commitment to High-Performance
Computing in the Age of AI
https://docs.amd.com/v/u/en-US/precision-at-scale-amd-whitepaper
While the Copilot+ threshold is 45 TFLOPs,
a MI355X, Datacenter, rack-mounted, liquid cooling,
has surely more memory, but only 157 TFLOPS.
And RTX 5090, Desktop, 600W+ TDP, massive cooling,
has also only 100 TFLOPS. So it looks these
Copilot+ AI Laptops are pretty swell, arent they?

Hi,
in high-stakes environments—whether
it's enterprise servers running mission-
critical transactions or heavy parallel
compute clusters crunching massive datasets.
At scale, a "soft error" (a bit randomly
flipping from 0 to 1) isn't a rare anomaly;
it is a statistical certainty.
ECC requires extra bits per data word
(e.g., a 72-bit bus for 64 bits of data) a
nd a small computational cycle overhead to
compute and check parity bits on every access.
instead of instantly crashing the entire
system, modern processors use data poisoning.
The memory controller or cache logic stamps a
"poison bit" or signature onto that specific
cache line and propagates it along with
the corrupted data.

Hi,
You guys are not paying attention. GPU is 10x
more performant than CPU for certain integerish
payload on the pi-WAM. 11.4 GLips on a GPU is
ca 10x more than 1.7 GLips on a CPU:
11.4 Giga Lips with a Budget Laptop
https://github.com/Jean-Luc-Picard-2021/gigabudget
Parallel π-WAM: 1.7 Giga Lips on a CPU
https://medium.com/2989/8a984e75af44
So GPUs are by way not dead. Especially since
they can be accessed via WebGPU / WGSL. But
the line between GPU and CPU increasingly
blurrs. It already happens for APUs in
that unified memory puts them into the same
RAM space. But the programming means differ.
Also unified memory doesn't mean that
the GPU sees memory the same way as a CPU.
To get a taste how a GPU sees memory:
Memory Model
Execution Barriers
Fence and Address Spaces
Memory Model GFX6-GFX9
Memory Model GFX90A
Memory Model GFX942
Memory Model GFX10-GFX11
Memory Model GFX12
Memory Model GFX125x
https://llvm.org/docs/AMDGPUUsage.html
WebGPU / WGSL seems to have good support,
since it can have Vulkan, Direct 12, or Metal
as GPU low level interface. Maybe more
platforms, something NVIDIA I guess. But I
don't know the details, how this is all done.

Hi, Concerning programmig means of GPUs, "CUDA edge" refers to the massive competitive advantage NVIDIA holds in artificial intelligence due to its proprietary parallel computing platform, CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture). WebGPU and WGSL (WebGPU Shading Language) represent a massive shift in AI because they bring high-performance hardware acceleration directly to the web browser without relying on proprietary ecosystems like CUDA. Developed by the W3C GPU for the Web Community Group, this standard allows web applications to interact directly with native graphics APIs like Microsoft DirectX 12, Apple Metal, and Vulkan Bye Some WebGPU show cases: Frameworks like WebLLM leverage WebGPU to run large language models locally inside browsers like Google Chrome, providing completely private, offline AI assistants. Developers use libraries like Hugging Face Transformers.js v3 to run computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language processing tasks directly on consumer laptops and smartphones.
