What's unusual here is people who have something intelligent to say
about electronic design.

And when it does happen you don't understand what they have said.

About the only statement of that sort that would get your attention
would be along the lines of "John Larkin has posted an example of
competent electronic design" and they do seem to be vanishingly rare.

This isn't any kind of mutual admiration society.

The 18 is most likely correct, as it's just about impossible to keep
such a secret in the US.

The people in those bases know they are targets, so they don't stray
from cover much.

We shall see. It's abundantly clear that Trump gravely underestimated
Iran's ability to fight back.

That's certainly true. Millenarianist Theocracies are not
democracies, and simply don't care how their populations fare.

But eventually there is a successful revolt, when the population has
literally nothing left to lose.

It's also an occupational hazard for Emperors. There are lots of
examples in the history of Ancient China.

For the sake of the Iranian Population, let's hope that the Hormuz
blockade works very soon.

I got the impression that Trump doesn't really care about US people
either. His creed is money, more money, no matter the consequences.

I think you are mistaken there. For the moment, they unite against

But the US is a democracy, so he does have to care, far far more than
any Ayatollah or Emperor ever did.

The US is a decidedly imperfect democracy, and Trump can only get thrown
out of power before the end of his term if he is successfully impeached.
He was impeached twice during his first term and the imperfections in
the US quasi-democratic system meant that the US senate wouldn't even
look at the evidence that the house of Representatives had assembled.

If the Republicans lose badly enough in the incipient mid-term elections
he may eventually get thrown out.

But the government has ways of discouraging expressions of popular
opinion. It take a lot of organisation to create a popular outcry on a
scale that the government can't repress.

I do not own sources to prove a suspicion. Channel-4 News of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland publishes claims
that man persons in Iran are scared of and not united with Iran's
government.

I attempted to email a prosecuted scientist in Iran in August. I
doubted that he or she is safe enough to respond. I did not get a
response from her or him. I doubt that this lack of a response proves
that "they unite against
their foreign aggressor."

That scientist could had been murdered months ago for all I know.

I made this recording about Iranian evils before this war:

That which is asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without
evidence.

He extrapolated from his own situation. If Trump suffered from a
disabling accident, the war with Iran would get unwound very rapidly.

Trump and Netanyahu killed off some 40 to 48 of the heads of the Iranian
government, and the people who replaced them were just as silly as their
predecessors.

Maybe the new medical center near Ramstein airbase will open soon
enough to accommodate the upcoming supply of service men and keep
the wheelchair brigades from American streets.
The existing 2 medical centers seem not to be up to snuff.

kinda oversized?

I'm about 25 km from Ramstein and can see part of the air traffic.
A lot of action again today, probably the next fuck up is on the way.

So - 68 beds in a 47 hectare site (1 bed per 700m^2).
