Du kannst bei den Kameraleuten nachsehen, dort gibt es Gyro Gimbals in 
dieser Groessenordnung und billiger. Aber im harten Alltag auf einem 
Schiff braucht man ein ganz anderes Kaliber und deshalb ist es teuer. 
Z.B. korrodiert dort aber auch alles, selbst Edelstahl. Wie schnell das 
geschieht, ist in etwa umgekehrt proportional zum Preis. Wer schonmal 
auf See Dienst getan hat, kennt das:
