autokey soll installiert werden. Laut Seite

   https://github.com/autokey/autokey/wiki/Installing

muss dazu python 3.5 oder höher installiert sein, während mein 
Paketmanager unter opensuse 15.1 lediglich 2.7.17 anbietet. Weder bei 
github noch unter python.org finde ich das Gesuchte.

   Woher bekomme ich das benötigte python 3.5 oder höher?

Also in meiner opensuse 15.1 wird python3 Version 3.6.10 angeboten.

das bei mir fehlt.

Ich habe die Repos, die opensuse bei der Installation anlegt. Das Paket 
python3, bzw. die Pakete "python3-irgendwas" gibts im "repo-oss" 
und im "repo-update",

d.h. schon von Anfang an war
im "Haupt-Repository" ein python 3.6 drin; dazu gabs diverse 
Aktualisierungen.

Die relevanten Repos hat mir der Installer angelegt; hier inkl. 
der URLs:

Vielen Dank für die Mühe. _Mein_ Fehler: ich habe python und python3 
verwechselt. python3 wird auch bei mir sehr wohl angeboten.

Kannst du nicht einmal die Suchmaschine "Google" selber bemühen, anstatt
hier jede Kleinigkeit zu erfragen? 

Eine einfache Suche (Aufwand <1 Minute!) lieferte mir

Vielleicht solltest Du nach python3 statt nach python suchen.
( yast  installieren suche nach python3 oder Python3)

Hermann
    der bei Aufruf von python auch nur 2.7 erhält.
    anders als bei Aufruf von python3 ( Auch unter debian )
