Servus.

Ich habe neben Gnus den Konsolenreader Tin. Da Tin keinen eigenen Editor
hat, ist Emacs als Editor eingestellt.
Wenn ich in Tin einen Artikel mit Umlauten erstelle und eine Signatur
mit Umlauten angehängt wird, wird das an Emacs als Editor übergeben.

Emacs kann in den Defaulteinstellungen die Umlaute nicht anzeigen
und bei der Rückgabe an Tin sind die Umlaute kaputt.

Wenn ich aber bei 'Set Coding System'
For Next Command (default ist iso-latin-1 eingestellt) utf-8 eintrage
For Next Selection utf-8
For Next x Selection utf-8 und
For Keyboard utf-8 (Einstellungen 'Save Options')
einstelle funktioniert es. 

Beim Neustart meines KDE neon OS sind die Einstellungen wieder weg.
Kann ich die vorgenommenen Einstellungen auf utf-8 dauerhaft speichern?
