Das war ein Kommentar von einem der Data General-Leute über
die VAX.  War nicht als Kompliment gemeint :-)

Aber die VAX war wirklich komisch.  DEC selbst wusste ja sehr lange
überhaupt nicht, wie viele Instruktionen pro Sekunde die VAX 11/780
eigentlich ausführen konnte, das wussten nicht mal die Leute,
die Nachfolgemodelle geplant haben.  Das ist schon erstaunlich.
Zum Vergleich: IBM hat ein gutes Jahrzehnt früher für all ihre
/360- Modelle Tabellen veröffentlicht, welche Instruktion wie
lange dauert, die wussten das ganz genau.
