Then I can continue to turn stupid without too much punishment. I use 1Password on my Mac and iPhone. Not especially cheap but very reliable. I use the "web" version on my work Mac - (free) and it accesses the encrypted folder which is stored on Dropbox (where the web link is also stored to load the webpage)

It's built into the operating system and works well: <https://www.apple.com/support/icloud/keychain/> <http://www.gizmag.com/apple-icloud-keychain-ios7/30301/> -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. Technically Keychain is for storing passwords, not all that other stuff, but you probably could use Keychain to store other things simply by creating / looking up the entries manually in the Keychain application. At worst you could create a simple local webpage called "Credit Card", etc. with a form, then enter the appropriate details into that and then get Keychain to remember them, again you'd have to look them up manually rather than having them auto-entered into other webforms.

And all of those devices (real and virtual) can read the iCloud keychain.

I also wrote a program to generate cryptographically stron passwords, which I keep on the LX. The Memo application on the LX in which all the passwords are stored is itself protected by a password, which is written down in the safe. The safe's combination is not written down anywhere, only kept in memory by myself and my wife.
