At one time, I thought digital watches were dumb because you had to
press a button to see the time. Then in 1974 I saw an LCD watch in a
jeweler's window for $300. I was amazed.

A year later, I saw a Timex LCD watch for only $85 at discount. I bought
it on impulse. I was very proud of it until the day I couldn't make
sense of the display. It took a long time to realize I'd put the watch
on upside down. It was easy to see when an analog watch was upside down
because the 12 had two digits and the 6 had only one.

When I remove my car dashboard, sometimes I don't get everything back
right. If someday I put the digital clock in upside down, it could
baffle me for years!
