Fact: No. Not right. Ant has not indicated he has tried or even knows
about this. And considering I only posted this a day or so ago, he
likely hasn't even read it yet.

Fact: The steps above don't mention an Apple ID or any other Apple
account because none is involved or needed. Image Capture is built into
macOS and does not use any internet connection to transfer photos over
the USB cable from an iOS device to the Mac. The fact that you are
suggesting an internet connection and Apple account are involved shows
just how pitifully ignorant you are about the subject, which isn't
surprising at all considering you actually think booting into Linux is a
brilliant way to transfer photos from an iPhone to a Mac.

Fact: I'm not playing any games. The procedure of using Image Capture to
transfer photos from any iOS device to any Mac works well and is about
as simple as it gets.

> Fact is ... Ant has been spectacularly unsuccessful.

Fact: Ant hasn't spent a whole lot of time trying to be successful, and
almost certainly hasn't tried using Image Capture - nor has he stated
such.

Only Ant can answer that.

Fact: I only posted these steps a day or so ago. Ant probably hasn't
even read them yet.
