Here's one of THE simplest ways to copy photos from an iOS device to any
Mac:

1. Connect the iOS device to the Mac with its USB cable.
2. On the Mac, open /Applications/Image Capture.
3. Select the iOS device in the sidebar.
4. Click Import and choose/create a folder for the photos.
