Happy to help, and glad the issue is fixed for you. : )

As we were discussing in another thread, one potential way it can happen
is if a program crashes (or is force quit) before it has completely
written a file it has open (in this case, it might have had a cache file
open). There are other potential ways a cache file might become corrupt,
of course (bugs in software, and so on). Luckily, cache files are
typically rebuild automatically when needed. So deleting them is a
fairly safe thing to do.
