No. Could it be because the variable is set by another thread? Test. No. ETC. Hours of efforts just because the API doesn't specify the error code. Most of the specifications are just a copy of the Dinkum Library documentation, with a few editorial changes. That library is used by whom? For instance QNX neutrino RTOS, that uses the C++ Dinkum library doesn't use their threads library nor even proposes it as an option. They simply use pthreads.
