Another redundant code monkey is swallowed whole by AI:

<https://blog.hartleybrody.com/no-longer-write-code/>

It's too bad, however, that he didn't use AI to compose
his blog (or maybe he did). The word "cursor" should have
been capitalized.

Russian propaganda or does he raise some interesting points? AI has sucked
up every bit of creativity it can find and spits out chunks to people who
can't wipe their own ass,

Russian propaganda spins faster than Donald Trump, and he beats a
teetotum every time

Capitalist USA is more concerned with money than ideology.

One of its advantages is its freedom from ideology in its pursuit of
naked greed.

Completely irrelevant to the opinion piece but I realize you would never
sully your eyeballs with a piece on the RT site. Go back to reading your
calming fairy tales in the Telegraph.

I read enough to realise that its just another Guardian but slightly
more directed.

There is no reason for either to tell the truth.

And they don't.

I don't read the Bible either...

Nor do I spend a great deal of time reading the telegraph or the Express.

As they too only signal what that particular clique wants you to believe

They are useful, in that occasionally they highlight some news that is
worth researching further.

But then do many many of the sites I peruse.

Reading listening or watching the media simply tells you what other
people want you to be thinking abut or believing. What is actually going
on is rather different.

I find your phraseology more revealing about yourself than me 'calming
fairy tales' is clearly what you prefer.

Your problem is that you have chosen to believe one source over another.
That marks you out as a person who needs to believe. And thinks others
are similar.

A sort of Dunning Kruger, but in terms of *emotional* intelligence,
probably.
I am content with the fact that everybody everywhere is to some extent
lying to me, for reasons of profit, ego, or even just plain ignorance.

My first job is to try to make sure I am not lying to myself.

That's called growing up.

I am disappointed in you.

If you think that refutes, rather than confirms, my statement.

That has become a MAJOR problem these days. Seems
EVERYBODY has become seriously biased in some weird
way or another. No Truth anywhere.

SO ... only choice ... go through at least a dozen
'news'/related sites - a bunch of countries. What
little they DO agree on is probably the truth.

Won't ever trust ANY one site.

Manually go through a dozen+ every day, one
by one. N.America, EU, Asia, S.America, Africa.
See what each thinks is Most Important. Merge.

As said, what little they AGREE on is probably

It isn't 'one site'

It's a portal to all the *other* sites, with each news item linked to
the sites that carry it, with the general political and other biases of
the sites clearly stated, so you can see what the commies say, and the
MAGA people say - and so on - and compare notes.

As I said, with Ground News it is *allegedly* easier to do what you are
doing manually, faster.

And if you think its worse than it used to be, that's only because there
is more access to alternatives.

When I was young, you listened to the BBC and read the Times, or the
Financial Times and that was that.

Unless you wanted an easier crossword or more sports news.

Eventually you realised that these sources had become pretty much
PinkoProp™ because the internet gave you access to a whole new level of
propaganda from Russia Today, Al Jazeera, half a dozen national news
outlets varying from quite far right to Marxism and all points in between.

And left you with three choices.

1. Believe the ones that fitted your prejudices (easy and comfortable)
and simply call the others propagandas and dismiss them, This is the
default option for people who *think* they are intelligent.

...or...

2. Assume as a starting point that all of them were to some extent
propaganda, try and see who was behind them and why they wanted to
present you with that side of that particular item. Naturally this is
far far harder and requires intelligence that very few people have. It
is the option for people who really *are* intelligent.

...or...

3. Assume it's all bullshit, pick up a squirrel rifle, and a crate of
beer, turn on the country music and concentrate on something you *do*
understand. Like women's asses.
This is the default for people who are smart enough to know they are
dumb, and not be uncomfortable with that fact.

Frankly, I am more comfortable with the threes than the ones. You can do
without the ones....

Sssh they will ban zipties if you don't pipe down.

Meanwhile they cant even get a lethal injection right.
Why not a few mg of fentanyl?

I've asked that question. Dopers manage to off themselves quite nicely and
I'm sure the evidence locker wouldn't miss a gram or two. There have been
several botched executions where they finally managed to kill the person
but this is the first one to live.

The gas chamber, electric chair, and hanging also had unpleasant events
leading to their disuse. I don't know if they've ever managed to screw up
a firing squad but Hegseth might be up to the task.

Unfortunately, all of the problems with the DP are caused by the fact that
those who are ideologically opposed to it are intent on (and quite
successful at) destroying it from the inside.

The problem with finding the right chemical(s) is caused by the anti-s
making it hard or impossible to source the right ones. I read somewhere
that the problem in Tennessee was specifically a result of not being able
to get the regular stuff, so they had to go with a sort-of-home-brew
solution, with predictable results. The point is that the problem is not a
hard one to solve, unless one's hands are tied behind one's back.

And there are other instances of this same phenomenon, but there is not
time to into them here.

I recall one of the original drugs had to be dropped because a European
manufacturer refused to sell it for execution purposes. The report I read
is she had difficult veins and asked the technician to try higher up in
her shoulder. It's possible he missed the vein altogether.

I can believe that give some of my quality experiences with phlebotomists.
It must be a very different experience when you know their end goal is to
kill you.

An incompetent nurse failed 5 times to get a catheter into my vein till
her boss took over...
I would mention her ethnicity, except the best catheter insertion ever
was perfomed by a student nurse from the same (ethnic) background

Incompetence has no favourites...

No ethnics were involved but three OR nurses were unsuccessful. The fourth
had no problem. When I complimented her she said she had started as a
phlebotomist before moving up to the OR. My veins look good but they're
shy. I wouldn't make a good junkie.
