No! it's not about what you "intend". You can't escape Micro$loth
touching you. I'm very disapointed with the 500GB Toshiba USB-2/3
that I got. IIRC, I left the first part of it as the default type:
NTFS?  
Partitions 2,3 as ext* became corrupted; perhaps due to the
USB-3 cable.
