Are you trying to boot from a USB stick?

I have an old HP that doesn't see the USB stick when booting up.

Heres how I got it to recognize it:

Turn off the computer.

Unplug the computer.

Push the power button several times.

Plug the computer back in.

Insert the USB stick.

Power on the computer.

At the Splash screen, hit f9 or the key for Boot Menu.

The USB stick should show up as a hard drive.

Choose it, and boot from it.
