My monitor had 5 dead pixels in the top LH corner, at the corners and centre of a rectangle, Although they were so regular, I thought they must be fly-dirt! Now the number has more than doubled. It this likely to be a progressive fault?

If you get more and more dead pixels, I'd say it's definitely failing. Nothing lasts forever. But have a tech check it out anyway. And start saving for a new monitor. Stef

They all came good today then failed again. The same ones. I bought it at the end of Jan 2011. Doug.

Hook the monitor up to a different computer, and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then the problem is probably the monitor. If it doesn't, then it's something else. In either case, have a tech check it out. Might be repairable, but probably won't be a cost effective one. Stef
