I can't even remember what I did to do that, either I did have to do something simple or Slackware at the time did it out of the box. But then my DVDROM drive started generating endless error messages, just playing a bit would cause a lot of messages. And so I gave up, a few months later got a replacement drive, and I don't remember ever trying a DVD since. I should fix that, especially since i'm now using a compuer 3 times as fast and with 4 times the RAM. Michael
