Damn. That is a lot to post to a newsgroup where you are almost
universally ignored.

You don't have to encrypt anything yourself. It just lets you see all
the encrypted posts. And if you don't want to tarnish that key, create
one just for cola. Or not. Whatever.

They are encrypted so Snit cannot read them. Everybody else
who posts their public key will be able to read them. Only
Snit and his socks will be left outside the door.

I don't care about Snit and his socks... and what they think, what they
write and everything related to them... bored to hell with Snit.

What we are doing, we are doing for our own reasons. Adding your key
is for your benefit, not ours. We see your posts either way. If you
don't mind seeing a newsgroup full of encrypted messages, that's fine.
The offer is a courtesy so that you are not subjected to that. But
like I said, do as you wish.

We all are but he keeps responding as if someone cares about his
opinion. By encrypting your posts, he has _no idea_ what you're saying
and therefore no way or reason to reply. We'll finally be able to have
a decent discussion with his dumb ass trying to look in through a
stain-glass window.

 +1

I have some public keys. I use them for accessing GitHub or for
accessing our source-code-control servers.

We also have a policy of encrypting emails. But webmail kind of defeats
that.

SSH encrypts its traffic with the keys, of course.
